چکیده

The purpose of this work was to propose sustainable solutions for advanced oil recovery by evaluating the ability bacterium Pseudomonas sp. in biotransformation alkanes, addition determining strain growth patterns under extreme conditions. For this, initially carried out laboratory conditions, which crude fractionated obtain saturated fraction used experiment. bacterial tolerance salinity and temperature also tested determine experimental conditions set up experiment regard these parameters. Additionally, an performed produce a biosurfactant through biostimulation. consisted triplicate with treatment control. treatments, Erlenmeyers flasks received 100 mL broth containing biosurfactant, 10 g (10%) NaCl, 3% 1% fraction. Erlenmeyer were incubated at 40 °C 180 rpm 18 days periodic analysis. results showed bacteria exhibited better °C, there no significant change different salinities, nonlimiting parameter. final experiment, analysed Optical Density (OD). low variation, lowest point T18 absorbance 0.115 highest T6 0.149. In qPCR analysis population, pattern found similar optical density results, variation; number copies 16S rRNA gene (6.66x 103) T0 T12 (7.86x 103). analysis, time 6 observed have rate, 54% (C30), followed 52% (C31) 51% (C29).

Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery Using Biosurfactant Produced by Alcaligenes faecalis

A bacterial strain (designated as Alcaligenes sp. MS-103) isolated from oil sample of the Aghajari oilfield in the south of Iran, was able to produce an effective extracellular lipopolysaccharide biosurfactant (1.2±0.05 g/l) on molasses as a sole carbon source. The highest surface tension reduction to level 20 mN/m was achieved by biosurfactant produced by cells grown on molasses under optimum ...

Effects of the addition of waste cooking oil on heavy crude oil biodegradation and microbial enhanced oil recovery using Pseudomonas sp. SWP-4

The present work aims to investigate the effects of the addition of waste cooking oil (WCO) on heavy crude oil biodegradation and microbial enhanced oil recovery (MEOR) using Pseudomonas sp. SWP-4. Growth kinetics show Pseudomonas sp. SWP-4 had a maximum dry cell weight of 1.73 g/L and cell-surface hydrophobicity of 62.4% against n-hexadecane when degraded the crude oil with the addition of WCO...

Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery, Wettability Alteration and Interfacial Tension Reduction by an Efficient Bacterial Consortium, ERCPPI-2

In the present study, the potential of a bacterial consortium of Enterobacter cloacae and Pseudomonas sp. (ERCPPI-2) for microbial enhanced oil recovery was investigated. Various mechanisms of enhanced oil recovery (EOR) as a result of using ERCPPI-2 and its metabolic products were studied in detail. The obtained results showed that under simulated reservoir ...
